Today, consumers are more concerned than ever with aligning their values and their shopping habits. With the interest insourcing sustainable products on the rise and an increasing desire to support companies who use their power for good, consumers are constantly searching for the best organizations to choose to give their money to. We’ve selected a list of 5 of our favorite B-Corps. Each one of the companies below is committed to giving back and works diligently to leave the world a better place than they found it.

What is a B-Corp?

Obtaining the title of a B-Corporation is hard work; it signifies that a company is not only committed to supporting social and environmental betterment but also that the company has the proper structure in place to provide transparency in how it is meeting benchmarks and goals in alignment with its B-Corp status.

This is a lot of fancy mumbo jumbo to say: B-Corps work hard to be certified regularly by B Lab, the governing body that audits and grants the B-Corp status to organizations all over the world and across many industries. When shopping at a B-Corp, you can be confident your purchase is supporting more than just the bottom line of one business. Here are some of our favorites:

Patagonia

As an outdoor apparel and gear company, Patagonia knows that it must protect the environment not just for business purposes, but because the environment needs protecting. The company imposes its own “earth tax,” donates 100% of Black Friday profits to grassroots nonprofits that do work to protect our planet, and even sued the U.S. government to protect national monuments.

The simple vision of, “We’re in business to save our home planet,” paired with its top-tier products makes shopping at Patagonia the right choice every time.

KeepCup
